Computer Solutions of Alabama, Inc. was started in 1990 by Isom Wilson, Jr. as the result of a computer programming project done for University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Special Studies.

During the early 90s, Computer Solutions of Alabama, Inc. (CSA) was mainly a software development company specializing in developing database applications for a variety of clients. In those early days, there was not much off-the-shelf software available as it is today. Therefore, a lot of the user software had to be developed by the user or someone familar with computer programming. That's why Computer Solutions of Alabama, Inc. developed a lot of custom computer programming.

Starting in the mid 1990s, CSA services expanded to include consulting, networking, on-site computer service and repair, server installation and configuration and computer programming (software development).

Today, CSA is a full service computer support company for small businesses. We can provide all of your computer service and computer support needs with dependable, reliable and cost effective solutions.

Isom Wilson, Jr.'s computer experience started in 1979 with enrollment in Computer Science at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Isom completed his bachelor's degree at UAB and started working on his Master's degree in Computer and Information Science. Isom suspended completion of his Master's degree to start Computer Solutions of Alabama, Inc.

Besides being the founder and President of CSA, Isom's computer experience has included jobs at UAB as Data Systems Coordinator and Director of Communications at American Response (AMR) ambulance service. As Data Systems Coordinator, Isom was responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive patient evaluation system for the six county BREMSS prehospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. As Director of Communications, Isom was responsible for the computer networks and computer systems in our 11 county service area in Alabama, the dispatch center for the Jefferson, Shelby and Walker counties service area along with it's computer aided dispatch sytem.
