You’ve probably seen the
commercials about Windows 7 and the cloud.
You probably don’t know what the cloud is or how it relates to Windows
7. The cloud is the Internet
and the things you can do over the Internet, such as email, sharing pictures
and using software. Windows 7 along with
Windows Live Essentials, free software from Microsoft, allows you to easily
share your photos and documents using Microsoft’s SkyDrive. See SkyDrive article below for more
information. |
Jump Lists which is a new feature in Windows 7 allows you
to get to the documents, pictures, songs and web sites you use the most. In most cases, you can get to your document
in just 2 mouse clicks. In Windows 7, when you click the start button you are
presented a window that shows all of the programs you’ve used most
recently. Hovering over for instance
Excel, presents a list of the most recent Excel documents you have
opened. You can click the Excel
document for it to be opened immediately in Excel. Click this link Jump list
example to see a Jump list. |

Microsoft Office 2010 is the latest edition of the most
widely used productivity software in the world. This latest edition contains a number of
new features, most notably the ribbon and the Backstage view. The Backstage view replaces the traditional File menu to
give you centralized and easy access to operations such as save, share, print
and publish. Publish can be used to
save your document to your SkyDrive. The Recent list, which is located in the Backstage view, lists
all of the recently opened documents.
Therefore, you can easily get to the documents you used most recently
or the documents you use the most. For an example of the Recent list, click this link. |
